Yvonne and Mark are our Members of the Month for July!
We love our gym. In the words of Sinead O’Conner – “Nothing compares to you”. What sets our gym apart from any other is the friendly family atmosphere, which welcomes all, no matter what your fitness level is, or your physical ability, there is something here for everyone.
We have been members since 2004/2016 respectively and have seen many changes, not only structurally but also with staff members, available add on services and exercise options for one and all.
Steve and Jackie have diversified their business and have formed other partnerships with likeminded businesses that then round out all your mind body and soul offerings that a person would require. Physio, massage, dietician, not to mention all the clubs group fitness options, outdoor activities and the adhoc team challenges that come up from time to time.
Exercising can sometimes be a struggle, not having a motivating partner/buddy to work out with or just trying to get yourself out of bed on those cold dark winter mornings when your bed tries to hijack you to stay in its warm comfortable clutches. But we find that the joy of being yelled at by either Bex’s, Tessa or anyone of the many fantastic instructors this gym has, keeps us coming back for more.
It certainly doesn’t feel like you are ticking the exercise box for the day, but what better place can you go to if you can hang out with your best friend/s, see those familiar friendly faces, talk a little smack talk, work hard, sweat a lot, or in Mark’s case, a little (that is mainly for bludging in the back row in the cycle cube). Then at the end of your workout, you can finish it off with the best coffee in Brisbane and a tasty little treat if one desires.
Many long-lasting friendships have begun at this gym and will continue to form. This gym has found the perfect way to evolve through time, keeping up with the current fitness trends, the changing demands of the world, and of course listening to the members wants and needs.
It’s almost like visiting your favourite restaurant, where you can get your cake and eat it too. All Steve needs to do now, is expand into the craft beer brewing, wine bar or gin palace and all boxes will be certainly ticked in our eyes. Thanks again to Jackie, Steve and the wonderful staff and members of the Gap Health and Racquet club.
